What’s new in Pausly, January 2023

As expected December was a bit slower than other months due to the holidays, but plenty of things happened nonetheless.

Beta launch

We finally switched from Alpha to Beta. You can read about what this means and why we did it in our dedicated blog post.

New authentication system

We completely overhauled our authentication system. Ideally you shouldn’t see much of a change because it was mostly architectural and should improve stability, but one thing that you might notice, is that when you load Pausly it will directly render the page for your authenticated user instead of looking as if you aren’t authenticated for a brief moment.

First public event

We also had our first public event which was really fun. We will definitely repeat that and are considering whether we want to make this a weekly, monthly or completely different event altogether.

The biggest lesson learnt is that we need to send out notifications right before the event.

New movements

As usual, there are a few new movements. We hope you like them.

Save restrictions & equipment settings

During our last big change we lost the ability to store your restriction & equipment settings for sessions so you had to select it again every time.

This is now fixed, and your preferences will be restored when you start a new session.

That's it! We hope that 2022 was a great year for you, and that 2023 will be even better.

Happy pausing
